Position Summary

Perform a variety of cleaning activities and related tasks to maintain campus facilities; operate floor machines and other cleaning equipment related to the job task.  Assist in moves, set ups, and college deliveries. This is an evening shift working 2:30pm - 11pm Monday through Friday.

Essential Functions

  1. Mop, sweep, buff, strip, and wax floors.  Vacuum carpeted floors.
  2. Empty trash found in classrooms and offices.  Recycle appropriate waste materials.
  3. Dust all furniture, equipment, and furnishings in classrooms and offices.
  4. Keep all areas, such as stairwells, hallways, and conference rooms clean and free of debris.
  5. Remove kick marks, graffiti, and other foreign matter from floors, walls, ceiling, and furnishings.
  6. Clean all glass surfaces.
  7. Clean bathrooms and water fountains to maintain a healthy environment.  Refill various dispensers. Clean any other areas containing kitchen facilities, sinks, and the like.
  8. Clean chalk boards, white boards and erasers.
  9. Identify and report areas/items which are in need of additional attention (painting, repairs, general maintenance work, and so on.)          
  10. Perform additional duties necessary to ensure facilities are clean, and present a favorable physical appearance.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

 

Work Experience:

At least one year full-time directly related work experience.

 

Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation.

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Bend, reach, and stoop to operate equipment and handle tools and materials.

Lift up to fifty (50) pounds and carry or push cart with tools and equipment weighing seventy-five (75) pounds.

Perform activities requiring good balance such as climbing and maneuvering on stairs, ladders, and scaffolds frequently on uneven surfaces.

Maneuver on stairs and uneven or soft surfaces such as grassy, icy, or unpaved areas.

Perceive environmental alerting sounds such as alarms, equipment operating, paging, and telephones.

Respond to a scene quickly on foot.

Move from room to room, building to building, and worksite to worksite daily.

Stand and/or work on feet up to three (3) hours at a time.

Discriminate size, shape, temperature, color, and/or texture of objects and detect odors daily.

Discern visual depth relationships, both close and long range.

Position Summary

Provide instruction and supervise nursing students.

Key Performance Indicators

  3. Maintain current clinical skills

Essential Functions

  1. Maintain clinical and educational competencies in areas of instruction.
  2. Prepare clinical assignments for students in clinical areas.  Provide instruction and supervise student learning.
  3. Work cooperatively with faculty and nursing service personnel in health care facilities to manage student learning.
  4. Provide input to the coordinator on program related policies.
  5. Assist with skills lab check-offs.
  6. Evaluate student clinical performance and document student experiences, skills attained, and areas of concern on clinical evaluations.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
Working about 19 hours per week, assisting with organizational and clerical tasks for the department.

  2. Provide department information and maintain accurate knowledge of programs
  3. Assist with student and employee applications and materials securely as directed
  4. Maintain accurate records

Essential Functions

  1. Handle administrative duties for the Director, assist department faculty and staff.
  2. Type letters, documents, and other correspondence for Law Enforcement Academy and Criminal Justice programs.
  3. Have tests, forms, and other items printed and/or duplicated and collated as and when needed.
  4. Coordinate testing and organize schedules and records for POST.
  5. Assist LEA and CJ students with enrollment.
  6. Maintain LEA and CJ student records.
  7. Serve as receptionist for the LEA and CJ programs.
  8. Greet and assist members of the general public as a representative of the department.
  9. Provide general information to prospective students.
  10. Prepare certificates for Law Enforcement Academy Continuing Education.
  11. Communicate with MAC faculty and POST regarding class schedules.
  12. Process follow up correspondence to students who have applied to department programs.
  13. Assist with supervision of work study students assigned to the department.
  14. Assist with LEA graduation, i.e.: send invitations and assist with ceremony planning and preparation.

Position Summary

Supervise project staff, manage Talent Search projects according to regulation, implement services to students, report on project activities

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Increase rate of Talent Search students enrolling in higher education (year over year)
  2. Increase rate of Talent Search students successfully completing secondary education (year over year)
  3. Increase recruiting of students served, more interested students than prior year
  4. Increase retention of program participants (year over year)

Essential Functions

  1. Supervise the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of project staff; conduct regular staff meetings; prepare semiannual status reports for the Dean of Students.
  2. Presents annual status report to the Board of Trustees.
  3. Set up and maintain budget information systems; develop and manage project budget.
  4. Develop and implement plan for student selection, eligibility documentation, assessment, monitoring, and ensuring student confidentiality.
  5. Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of major program components including tutoring and advising and related activities such as workshops, educational trips, and other activities. Provide student advising and conduct workshops, educational trips, and other activities as necessary.  
  6. Plan and implement annual project evaluation and initiate program revisions, ensuring the project activities and services result in achieving the program’s annual persistence, graduation, academic standing, and administrative objectives.
  7. Assist staff in providing services to schools and students.
  8. Continually review all pertinent federal regulations and ensures compliance with same.
  9. Order and maintain program supplies and equipment; track program records.
  10. Serve on college committees.
  11. Build relationships with local school districts, parents, employers, agencies and other high education institutions, market the program.
  12. Initiate partnerships with programs that serve similar population groups, as appropriate.
  13. Supervise preparation of performance reports for the Department of Education (DOE).
  14. Develop, implement, and carry out a plan to inform the institutional community.
  15. Responsible for the development, preparation, and submission of the upcoming Talent Search grants (this time and effort funded separately from the grant.)

Minimum of three years administrative experience designing, implementing, or directing a TRIO or other educational program that serves low-income, first generation students and/or students with disabilities.

Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel.

The grant requires preference be given to individuals with backgrounds similar to Talent Search participants – low income, first generation college graduates.

Industry Knowledge:

College-level and/or grant administration experience preferred.

Budget and program planning and monitoring experience.

Familiarity with college academic advising and student services divisions.
