The award was announced Tuesday, April 15, during the AACC Annual Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mineral Area College (MAC) is proud to announce it has been designated an FOA Approved School by The Fiber Optic Association (FOA), a leading nonprofit organization setting industry standards for fiber optics training and certification.

MAC Awarded Grant to Enhance Nursing Education Programs

MAC will use a $115,533 grant from the Missouri State Board of Nursing to purchase equipment for its nursing programs in Park Hills, Perryville, and Cape Girardeau.

Substitute Teacher Certification Training

In coordination with the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, MAC has established a 20 hour DESE-Approved Substitute Certification Training as an alternative route to substitute certification for qualifying applicants.
